3D Laserscanning

3D laser scanning is a non-contact and non-destructive technology that digitally documents the shape of physical objects using a line of laser light. 3D laser scanners create 3D scans, i.e. 3D point clouds, with data about the co-ordinates of the points captured from the surfaces of objects. In other words, 3D laser scanning is a way to represent a physical object’s exact size and shape as a 3-dimensional virtual reality.
